It was built in an East German acoustics lab, and used in soundtracks for East German movies. It predates any Moog or Buchla synth. You won’t find it mentioned in any textbooks, nor is it listed in the famous 120 Years of Electronic Music website.

Why on earth is there not multisamples or a vsti of this? What is wrong with people, I would have sampled this thing in the 1980 into my 8 bit sampler on my Amiga. Come on people out there with vintage synths like this, get with the program and start sampling. Not mp3s of sequences either… raw, single notes, we will take it from there.
Thank you
With my HD system and the MIDI I/O I’ve never had any pelmorbs using hardware synths (Roland, Yamaha, Korg, Doepfer, Nord etc). So far I’ve only used software synths with my Mbox2pro. Midi in has been working great though.
There is, in-fact, quite a lot about the ‘Subharchord’ on 120 Years;
