<p>Then, Flickr user &#8220;jugger-naut&#8221; <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/56635145@N00/sets/72157610873932424/">built a tube synthesizer </a>in plug-in module form.</p>
<p>And Joe Paradiso <a href="http://web.media.mit.edu/~joep/CAMAC-Synth/CamacSynth.html">built a hybrid synthesizer</a> into a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_Automated_Measurement_and_Control">CAMAC crate</a>, to be controlled by a PDP-11 minicomputer, in December 1979.
